Come And Be Inspired At The Digital Scrapbook Place
The Digital Scrapbook Place is proud to announce the grand opening of a brand new digital scrapbooking website at www.digitalscrapbookplace.com. The launch of this exciting site brings many useful and interesting online activities, including design contests, software tutorials, member chats, thematic crops, and more.
Ohio (PRWEB) April 1, 2004 — The Digital Scrapbook Place announced the opening of its new website today at www.digitalscrapbookplace.com. “The Place To Be”, as its founders affectionately call it, is designed to provide inspiration, support, and a feeling of community amongst the artists that visit there. It offers software tutorials, design activities, and Internet links to relevant online resources such as downloadable fonts, inspiring photography, and useful photo printing services. The DSP Shop has pre-made digital designs for sale, one can find educational assistance at the DSP University, and members can post their own layout creations in the Gallery.
The Digital Scrapbook Place is the brainstorm of three creative women who befriended one another through a mutual interest in the art of digital scrapbook design. Their goal was to create a website that would give scrapbookers a forum to meet in the interest of sharing their art and inspiration. “We wanted to start The Digital Scrapbook Place to provide an organized, fun, and helpful website for digital scrappers,” says Amanda Behrmann, a partner at The Digital Scrapbook Place. “We envision it as a place for all to feel welcome no matter how or why they scrap; a place that would nurture those new to digital scrapping while allowing the more experienced artists to inspire and shine. DSP will provide all its members with a place to feel at home, surrounded by friends, doing something that we love.”
Margie Lundy, another DSP partner, adds, “As digital scrapbooking is growing and developing within the scrapbooking industry, we see a huge potential for product lines and commercial ventures. This large digital scrapper market is new and untouched and deserves to have high quality products specific to this new form of art.”
The art of paper scrapbooking has seen tremendous growth in the past few years. The Hobby Industry Association estimates that the number of scrapbookers in the US has quadrupled in the past five years to over 20 million participants. Digital scrapbooking is a unique alternative to the traditional craft of scrapbooking by incorporating the computer to create embellishments, text, backgrounds or anything else that is relevant to the craft.
The design team at digitalscrapbookplace.com encourages everyone to come – be inspired.
