Lowell scrapbook designer featured in ‘Art of Architexture’
BENTONVILLE — Michelle Keeth of Lowell is a nationally recognized scrapbook designer. The talented artist’s work is featured on the cover of the just-published book “The Art of Architexture” by EK Success.
Along with her mini-book album pictured on the book’s cover, several of her projects grace pages throughout the book. Her designs have also made their way into other publications, including Better Homes and Gardens, Scrapbooks Etc. Family Connections 2004 edition; Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame volume 6; and PaperKuts Magazine. She also contributed a chapter to the 2003 Power Book by PaperKuts. “Scrapbooking is really what you make it,” Keeth said. “It can be as simple or as technical and complex as you choose. Scrapbooking is the fastest-growing segment of the craft industry now, and I call it a lifetime sport.
” Anyone can scrapbook. Signed, Sealed and Delivered offers classes for children on Saturdays. I teach an adult class on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Scrapbooking is a photo album that tells a story. And that story can be passed down generation after generation. Because an archival procedure is used, photographs are protected and preserved. ”
Keeth began scrapbooking six years ago to create a pretty album with pictures of her four young sons. She planned to journal about their day-to-day activities. Along with achieving her initial goal, Keeth has achieved a remarkably successful career in the scrapbooking industry as a teacher and designer.
A skilled photographer, Keeth incorporates her natural talent, energy and imagination to stay on the cutting edge of scrapbook and card design. Other scrapbookers note that Keeth also has the ability to create fresh designs using the hottest new scrapbooking techniques.
Her co-workers at Signed, Sealed and Delivered in Bentonville believe her popularity as an advanced scrapbooking teacher is because of her willingness to embrace the latest products and techniques; her use of a number of papers, colors and embellishments; her pages that always include journalizing about the photographs; and her love and respect for her family.
Keeth signed copies of” The Art of Architexture” at the Christmas open house of Signed, Sealed and Delivered on Sunday. Copies of the book are available at the store, and Keeth is usually on hand, too.
