A picture may be worth a thousand words, but to Fishers resident Heather Dewaelsche, words are priceless.
In one of two short pieces she authored for the new “Chicken Soup for the Scrapbooker’s Soul” book, Dewaelsche explains why she would rather have a box full of her great grandmother’s journals than a box of photos. The photos, she writes, would leave her with more questions, whereas the journals would give her clues into her ancestor’s life. Harness Racing Museum to hold scrapbook workshop
Goshen — The Harness Racing Museum’s Education Department is offering a scrapbooking workshop from 10:30 am. until noon on Saturday, Sept. 9, to introduce young people to this art form. Children from four to 13 are invited to peek at the museum’s scrapbook collection and to create a personal book to chronicle the new school year’s special memories by designing, cutting and sticking images of school buses, flags, word art, horses and picture frames.

Scrapbooker shares her story in ‘Chicken Soup’
Maggie Koller says weddings and babies aren’t the only things that fill up the pages of a scrapbook.

YMCA SCRAPBOOK CLASS
Another YMCA deadline is approaching fast for all of you who enjoy to crop and paste pictures in place. The scrapbooking class will run every Tuesday in September from 7pm until 9pm in the evening.
