Learn to scrapbook, draw and dance

• Beginning Scrapbooking, taught by Ann House, will be 10 a.m. to noon Mondays, Sept. 4 through 25. Learn how to organize photos and complete a scrapbook. Bring your own photos and memorabilia. For teens, adults and seniors, beginner level. Class fee of $60 includes all materials and tools to complete an album.

• Beginning Drawing, taught by Annie Brady, will be 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 5 through Oct. 3. Bring sketch pad and pencil and learn to draw with this teacher who specializes in drawing animals. For all ages, beginner level. The cost is $40.

• Children’s Dance Classes, taught by Michelle Wilson, will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays Sept. 5 through Nov.16. Class times and prices vary. Classes include Creative Movement, Wee Dancer, Pre-Ballet and Beginning and Intermediate Ballet and Jazz Dance. Call Miss Michelle at (859) 403-0075 for details.

10TH ANNIVERSARY

Georgetown College will begin its celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Anne Wright Wilson Art Building with an opening night reception for Phenomenon: Nate Larson and Dietrich Wegner, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The event will also serve as an introduction of new gallery director Karen Gillenwater, formerly a curatorial administrator with Louisville’s Speed Museum. The show will be up through Sept. 28. Gallery hours are noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sundays or by appointment at (502) 863-8399. Parking is available on the street or in the Georgetown Baptist Church parking lot across from the art building at College and Mulberry streets in Georgetown.
