SOSU offers Saturday scrapbooking retreat

Bring your friends, a sack lunch, and be prepared to have a Scrappin’ good time while you learn more about scrap booking. Theresa Welch, who has been teaching scrapbooking for three years, will share some tips and good habits in the Saturday “fun” shop! Capture memories and share them with others.

Combine your creative skills with this outlet to create an interesting story. You do need to bring 20-30 photos with you to the class meeting including events such as family gatherings, baby pictures, school days, birthday celebrations, family trips, and/or pets.

If you are a beginner, kits will be available at the class for $25. You may purchase the following items prior to the class: paper, scissors, adhesive, photo trimmer, journaling pens, and embellishments. Participants are responsible for keeping up with their own items so mark them appropriately.

Door prizes will be given every hour! This Scrap booking Saturday Retreat will meet on Saturday, October 7, from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in the Magnolia Room located in the Southeastern’s old student union. The fee for this class is $20.
