Stampin’ Up and Creative Memories: Rubber Stamp - Scrapbook Expo
A lot of scrapbookers seem to agree. Stampin’ Up grew and the co-founders first relocated to Boulder City in Nevada, and then, in 1993, they moved back to their hometown in Kanab. But the company outgrew Kanab. They kept a manufacturing plant there but moved the corporate offices to Salt Lake City in 1996. In 2004, they moved into a 300,000-square-foot office/distribution center in Riverton.

Rare UW scrapbook contributes to national book award

Carol Bowers, an archivist at the University of Wyoming American Heritage Center, contributed a chapter to “The Scrapbook in American Life,” a collection of essays that recently was honored with the Pioneer America Society’s 2006 Alan B. Noble Award for excellence as the best-edited book on North American material culture. Bowers’ chapter described a rare scrapbook created in the 1890s by a woman who was allegedly murdered by her husband. (UW Photo)
