Chance to Learn Scrapbooking

Fancy learning how to make up a scrapbook page the modern way? With all the lovely products available nowadays, it can be an enticing hobby, but many people just don’t know where to start!

On Wednesday there will be a scrapbooking demonstration and workshop at Beccles Library from 10.30am to 12.30. The demonstration is free and the “make and takeâ€? workshop is just ?2 to cover the cost of your materials. The demonstration will show how you can make a simple, yet beautiful, 8×8â€? scrapbook page with just a few simple patterned papers and ribbons. You will learn how to lay out your page, make a tag for hidden journalling, and then finish off using some of the left-overs to make a greetings card.

If you are interested in joining in the fun, call the number below or speak to staff at Beccles Library. Anyone wishing to take part in the workshop will need to book a place as spaces are limited and to make sure there are enough kits available. It would be helpful if you brought a pencil, ruler, scissors and glue stick or (preferably) double sided tape. Bring a photo if you have one.

The demonstration is run by the organiser of Scrapbuddies, a local scrapbookers’ and cardmakers’ club. It meets on the third Saturday of each month at Ditchingham Village Hall from 1pm to 5pm. Beginners will have some materials provided for them at their first session. Each session is ?4 and includes refreshments. More details and examples are on the website www.scrapbuddies.co.uk. If you are interested in an eight-week beginners’ scrapbooking course starting in January/February please call Mrs S Lamdin on 01502 718007.
